Immigrants from around the world enter Los Angeles every day, with hopeful visions of a better life, but little notion of what that life may cost. Their desperate scenarios test the humanity of immigration enforcement officers. In Crossing Over, writer-director Wayne Kramer explores the allure of the American dream, and the reality that immigrants find – and create — in 21st century L.A.

Kramer’s intersecting stories, both cathartic and tragic, are brought to life by an international ensemble.    I hope I’m wrong on this…but given Sean Penn is behind this movie, I reckon that it will be overly sympathetic to illegals and with little notion of the fact that there is a LEGAL means of becoming a citizen of this country. Hopefully Sean Penn surprises me for the first time.

   This is a great movie about what people living in the US go thru with ICE in the hopes of getting legal. Pretty realistic .

   You’ll enjoy it.

   how many Australians or Irish are coming here? not many. those character seemed a bit unrealistic already.
